Summary
Taking place in Nevada in the 1950′s, a successful but repressed English professor goes to get a divorced in search of a more honest life. Her stay at a ranch challenges how honest she wants to be.
My Thoughts (with potential spoilers!)
With this movie having been released in 1985, it was required viewing for me and my peers who came out shortly thereafter. Positive and romantic, it quickly became the standard for all media that followed.
I do agree that this is a classic in lesbian film entertainment and it’s one of my movie discs that I just put in the DVD player and play on repeat when I want something in the background when I’m in more intense writing sessions.
