"Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" (May 13, Musical, Broadway)
Posted: Thu Aug 09, 2012 6:56 amI saw this show primarily because I wanted to compare it to the West End/London experience, and they seemed to be comparably executed from my memories.
I admit that I have problems with the misogynistic/racist elements in the movie/show but I'm a firm believer in not punishing the actor because of the material (unless they wrote it).
A well executed show for what it offered (which as Nico said, were the best parts of the movie and nothing else original). Definitely much more appeal to foreign tourists given the different languages spoken around us.
I will definitely pass on any touring appearances that drop by me locally.
