Just bought a ticket to this!

Event blurb: "Back in 1982, when the closet was crowded, Monica Palacios kicked open the doors for herself and others when she became the first openly lesbian Latina comic. Queer Chicana Soul is a 30th anniversary retrospective by the performer, who's one of Out Magazine's Out 100, a post-doctoral Rockefeller Fellow and winner of a National Gay and Lesbian Performance Award. She's also written 14 plays, has dozens of TV appearances, performed live hundreds of times and is a founding writer of the celebrated satirical group known as Culture Clash. Don't miss this special celebration of a groundbreaking talent. "

Despite my best intentions (and that I bought the ticket), I wasn't able to make it. :(

Perhaps another time. Or better yet, for her to release it as a recording for those of us who find getting to the West Side of L.A. a little challenging.
